WALTER HOOD

1852 - 1870
About MeThis vessel was built at the Walter Hood yard in 1852 for the China trade. It was owned by George Thompson Junior. The ship made one trip to Bombay and China before joining the Australia trade travelling from London to Sydney from 1863-1870. The ship grounded on rocks and sank at Wreck Bay, Australia in 1870. The Captain and 12 men were drowned.
