About MeHidekuni belonged to Ôtsuki school in Kyoto and was a pupil and son-in-law of Kawarabayashi Hideoki. He designed the metal parts of swords owned by Kômei Emperor (1831-1866) and the Meiji Emperor (1852-1912).
