DescriptionWILLIAM DYCE ARTIST (1806 - 1864) WAS BORN IN THIS HOUSEHistoryArtist. Educated at Aberdeen Grammar School and Marischal College. He worked with oil and watercolour, in fresco, and designed stained glass. His finest easel pictures are of religious subjects. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1835. He is remembered as a leader of the High Church Movement and as a chorister and composer.
