DescriptionVERY REVEREND DAVID CAIRNS THEOLOGIAN (1862 - 1946) TAUGHT HEREHistoryTheologian. Born in Stitchel, Roxburghshire, and educated at Kelso High School he studied at Edinburgh and Marburg Universities and at The United Presbyterian Theological College, Edinburgh. He served as Professor of Dogmatics and Apologetics at the United Free Church College, later Christ's College in Aberdeen, 1907 - 1937, and is remembered as a pioneer of the Ecumenical Movement.
