About MeThis bold, bright, colourful image of Marguerite gives the image of the fashionable and elegant woman - still beautiful at forty-five years old.

She is depicted sitting in the garden of "El Foolk". A bunch of grapes, a discarded napkin and an ashtray on the table in front of her reveal that she has just finished a meal.

The task of showing her eyes through her sunglasses presented a technical challenge for McBey, which he rose to admirably.

More About Me
This painting of McBey's wife Marguerite was painted at their home in Morocco. How do you think the location has influenced this painting?
