About MeThis set of dolls was made by Jean Cameron in 1969. They were made for a nursing recruitment exhibition in a shop on Union Street. At the time, the shortage of nurses meant 144 beds at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary could not be used. The dresses are all made using authentic uniform material from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary between 1948 and 1951.
This doll represents a Student Nurse (first year) in a short sleeved grey dress.
