About MeThis cheese dish and cover was made at Seaton Pottery, probably by John Gavin. Thomas Gavin started the Pottery in 1868 and was joined by his sons in the 1880s. After his death in 1899, John carried on the business until 1903. As well as storage barrels the Seaton pottery is also known for its cheese bells.
