About MeCorrespondence from Lindie Gillan to James McBey, Early Paper Ephemera, dated 14 January 1904. Writing from Mount Pleasant in Portsoy, Gillan discusses the photographs received from McBey, her mother returning from Peterhead, a funeral of a family member and, her work at a bank.

On one side, handwritten in pencil, is a fragment of The Jealousies of a Country Town by Honore de Balzac.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
