Kynett then discusses McBey's latest sketches complimenting their quality, but criticising their "sameness of subject", though he says this "is purely for my own acquisitiveness." He updates McBey on progress at the Mystic Museum, and talks about Mrs. Mallory and her possible "fund for McBey prints." Kynett also tells McBey that the book is on the press and will be ready before the end of the month.
A section torn from another letter, which talks about how Kynett intends to use six of McBey's sketches at Christmas, is also included with this one.
The letter consists of two sheets typewritten on headed paper, and a torn section of another letter, also typewritten.
This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
