About MeNewspaper article originally printed in the Daily Herald on 3 December 1931, explaining that "no presents by request" was printed on the invites for the wedding of Miss Margot Murray and Flight-Lieut. Verder Harris, R.A.F. The wedding took place at Chelsea the day before the article was printed. Sir James Murray, Margot's father, explains the reason for this;

"My daughter expects to travel a good deal wither her husband. She is not furnishing a house and does not want superflous stuff for which she has no use."

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this article.
