About MeLetter from James McBey to Charles Carter, dated 3 October 1959. Three copies. McBey writes that he is pleased but puzzled that the Art Gallery in Aberdeen are interested in Harold Kynett's collection of his works (see ABDAG008311.50). He also notes that Miss M.J. Rennie, who presented 'Waterton Ferry, Ellon' to the Gallery, was offered a sum for it four years previously, but rejected the offer.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
