About MeLetter from James McBey to friend and art collector H. H. Kynett, dated Christmas day 1942. McBey talks about his relief that Phil Mallory was pleased with the Mystic sketch, and expresses embarrassment at Kynett's generous cheque. He offers Kynett any of the Mystic sketches he would like to compensate for this.

The letter consists of one page typewritten.

McBey also talks about a party at Maitland Smith's he attended with Marguerite, and tells Kynett how much he had been enjoying his book. This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
