About MeAberdeen born, Betty Clunas (1929-2012) served as the Chair of the Friends of Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums. She had a fondness for design between 1890 and 1940, and especially liked the Art Deco period. She bought vintage clothing she could wear to special occasions or to a party, though she did not always wear them straight away, keeping them until an appropriate event came along. This 1920s lilac and orange day dress came into the collection as part of the Betty Clunas Gift in 2013.Exhibitions
