About MeSalt-glazed stoneware cylindrical mug which tapers towards the rim with an oval loop handle. The glaze is in shades of speckled orange-brown and grey with the characteristic 'orange peel' texture associated with salt-glazing. The brown colour of this salt-glazed mug indicates the presence of iron oxide in the glaze.
Salt glaze is achieved by throwing common salt into the kiln at the peak temperature and creates a texture like orange peel on stoneware ceramics.
