About MePorcelain straight-sided circular dish which is glazed all over in a pale greeny-blue celadon with a double trail of tenmoku iron glaze in a random squiggle pattern.Celadon is a type of glaze which originated in China. It is frequently found in shades of pale green, however colours can range from pale pearl blue to dark olive green depending on the quantity of iron oxide added to the glaze before it is fired.Tenmoku is a Japanese term for another type of glaze originating in East Asia. It is usually a dark lustrous colour or, as in this example, a shade of brown.
