About MeMan Pins are a collaboration between jeweller Islay Spalding and wood worker Louise Forbes.
This Man Pin is part of the My Man Pin Was A... collection, made from a variety of repurposed wooden objects, in this case a whisky cask from the Glenfiddich distillery.
The artists sand back through the layers of paint on the cask until they are happy with the design. The three holes are inspired by the holes where the lid is attached to a whisky cask with dowels.
