Obverse: Forward facing crowned head with broad, curling hair framed with text inscription.
Reverse: Centrally placed long cross with three pellets in each corner and text ringing the outer edge.
Manufacture Method: Hammered
Condition: The reverse is in good condition with clear details and legible text, except on two opposing segments where the text has been worn smooth. The obverse is more worn, with king portrait and outer text nearly worn smooth. The coin has been heavily clipped. The coin features a special symbol referencing Bishop Anthony Bek of Durham on its obverse, with the inscription cross being a cross moline. This is a symbol used by the benedictine order of monks and Durham's mint.
