Manufacture Method: Hammered
Condition: The coin is in poor condition. The reverse features a large patch of wear, wherein the central details and text have been worn smooth. The remaining text is otherwise legible. The obverse is worn across the board, but especially on the king's portrait which is all but worn smooth. The text again is still legible. The coin has a rough edge from striking and also features a special symbol on its obverse inscription, a cross moline. This is a symbol used by the Benedictine order of monks and Durham's mint.
