About MeThis embroidered silk wedding dress was purchased from W. H. Mitchell, a costumier and mantle maker once situated at 345 Union Street, Aberdeen.
The two-piece dress comprises of a boned bodice with pin-tucked detail, high neck lace inserts and long tight lace sleeves. It features draping and separate panels, known as aprons, at the front of the skirt. This was a style made popular during the early 19th century, which saw a revival in the closing years of the Edwardian period.
More About Me
This wedding dress is a lot simpler than the stereotypical "fairy-tale" wedding dress. Which style do you prefer and why?
