About MeIn the later years of Anne Redpath's career, her art developed dramatically. This work demonstrates the expressive urgency in which she conceived her last works. Redpath has rid the composition of any unnecessary details. There is no suggestion of the table top. Flowers and background merge in a flurry of broad brushstrokes. These flowers have not been carefully arrranged but seem to live, breathe and resonate from within.
