About MeThis wineglass is of possible Jacobite significance and features an ogee bowl wheel-engraved with rose buds, four leaves and a pheasant in flight. The bowl is set on a double series opaque twist stem on a conical foot.

This type of stem was achieved by the introduction of rods of opaque white glass placed vertically into a mould, before clear white glass was poured in. The glass was then heated and drawn out to create the pattern. These are sometimes also known as cotton twists.
