About MeA very basic square token with inscription (K N 1810) on one side. It is, very similar to the one issued by the same church 50 years earlier. Tokens of this type were often made in the area in which they were issued, usually by a local blacksmith.

In 1810 the ancient little Church of St Fittick at Nigg served the Torry area on the south side of the River Dee. It continued to do so until 1829 when a new church was opened to cater for Torry's increasing population.

The original St Fittick's was owned by three different denominations during its long history: for over 300 years until the Reformation it was a Catholic church; for many years thereafter it was Episcopalian until the early 18th century when it became Presbyterian.
