About MeThe Boyle family worked collaboratively for many years. Artists Mark and Joan first worked together on paintings but once their children, Sebastian and Georgina, were born they moved on to using new media and had soon learned not only to grind paints but also to mix resins and to use polyester and fibreglass laminates.

Their work, as Mark Boyle described it, was an attempt to "remove the prejudices that the conditioning of our upbringing and culture impose. Trying to make the best visual description our senses and our minds can achieve of a random sample of the reality that surrounds us".
Mark Boyle died in 2005.
