About MeLate nineteenth century, girl's white muslin dress sprigged with lilac leaves on a diagonal check. The overall style of this dress is reminiscent of late 19th century adult fashion. It is given fullness and interest at the front by the addition of two pleats on each shoulder and smocking at the front of the waist and the sleeves are quite narrow. Despite the practical length of the skirt, the muslin fabric used to make the dress is flimsy and delicate.
