About MeA rare Scottish Provincial silver Bannock Rack with maker's mark of Peter Lambert, Aberdeen, circa 1816.
The rack stands on four ball feet, with nine double loop wire-work divisions and central ring handle. It is engraved with initials 'JMB' and a stag's head crest.

More About Me
Bannocks are flat breads, usually cut into segments before eating. Not many households would have served then in silver racks.
