About MeThe purpose of this dish or plate is something of a mystery. It may have been an alms dish or offering plate, but the size is rather small and there is no engraving. It appears more likely that it is a porridge dish or a child's plate.
More About Me
Whoever owned this silver plate in the early nineteenth century would not have been one of the labouring classes!
