About MeThis undulating and rhythmic silver tray allows metal appear almost fluid- like a pebble thrown into water causing ripples across the surface.

Ndidi Ekubia is one of a group of young British metalworkers who are bringing a fresh slant to working with metal. Her work is characterised by a joyous and vital style. To create movement in the metal she used traditional techniques of blocking, raising and doming to push the silver sheet metal. It is then turned over and pushed in another direction using heavy stakes. Finally she smoothes the surface and places textured patterns.

Dated to 2005.
