About MeThe son of William and Jane Barbara Meff, of Fordbank, Aberdeen. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 14 March 1915, and served in 7th (Deeside) Battalion The Gordon Highlanders. He was later promoted to Lieutenant at some point, but was killed in action, aged 26, on 14 November 1916 on the second day of the Battle of the Ancre, when 7th Gordons attacked towards 'Y' Ravine near Beaumont Hamel. He is buried at Varennes Military Cemetery, France.
