Rose Leslie

Aberdeenshire, Scotland, born 1987
About MeRose Leslie shot to fame in 2012 when she was cast for the fantasy series Game of Thrones, gaining major acclaim for her portrayal of the unruly wildling, Ygritte.

Rose says growing up in the Aberdeenshire countryside helped shape and develop her imagination which in turn drove her to pursue a career in acting. She attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art where she gained a reputation as a master of dialects. Since graduating, Rose has taken on diverse and challenging roles for both stage and screen, including roles in Downton Abbey, BBC television’s Luther and the lead in the critically acclaimed Bedlam at London’s Globe Theatre.
