THE new Aberdeen Clipper Ship PAMPERO, classed A1 nine years, a very superior vessel of her class; 911 tons register, 1,062 tons builder’s measurement: - Length 188 3/4 feet; breadth, 34 1/2 feet; depth of hold, 20 1/4 feet; stands without ballast, has handsome poop cabin accommodation, sails very fast, and will carry largely; has a full East India outfit. REPORT OF THE SHIP PAMPERO, MONIC [sic], FROM NAGASAKI :— On Nov. 14, lat 29 N, long 33 W, the stars were observed to commence shooting nearly every minute, some of then: very brilliant and beautiful in colour, commencing at 10 p.m. 13th, and continuing until daylight of the 14th. On the 14th at noon, a beautiful meteor of a brilliant and bluish tint fell NE by E of us, apparently not more than a mile distant.

The Shipping Gazette says that the ship PAMPERO, Captain Morrice, of Aberdeen, sailed from Newcastle (New South Wales) on August 30 last, with coals for Shanghae [sic] and has not since been heard of. The PAMPERO was built at Aberdeen in 1867, and was the property of Mr J. Cook
