About MeDuring the first Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, Paul Nicol embarked on a photographic exploration of the signs he saw in the environment around him in the village of Peterculter near Aberdeen. He walked around the village looking for signs of humans, spirit and the coping mechanisms used during the pandemic. This image shows an example of the varied and innovative coping mechanisms developed by people during the Covid-19 pandemic. The weeks at home during the festive holiday season conjured up happy times for this family and putting up the festive and Halloween decorations in June subliminally transported them to this special happy place and provided them with a sense of comfort.
