About MeDuring the first Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, Paul Nicol embarked on a photographic exploration of the signs he saw in the environment around him in the village of Peterculter near Aberdeen. He walked around the village looking for signs of humans, spirit and the coping mechanisms used during the pandemic.During these walks he noticed many of the trees in the area had been decorated with bright coloured knitted artwork which was created and displayed by some of the residents. The aim of the knitted artwork was to help bring colour and joy to the community during the Covid lockdown and to symbolise hope and give thanks to the NHS and the many key workers living within the community.
