About MePorcelain vase with ovoid body and short cylindrical neck and rolled rim.

It is glazed all over with a greenish-blue celadon glaze with a large splash of pale yellow-brown on one side of the body.

Celadon is a type of glaze which originated in China and spread to other parts of East Asia. Iron oxide is added to create shades of pale green and blue and with the addition of a greater amount of iron oxide, in colours as dark as olive green and black.
