About MeA small mug with almost straight sides and a simple loop handle with prominent join at base. Wheel-thrown with distinct potting rings.
It is glazed outside in a mustard yellow slip over white glaze with a narrow band of brown slip around the foot. The inside is glazed in a dark brown slip with some speckling.
Bowen built his own wood-fired kilns for the production of domestic earthenwares at his North Devon pottery. He makes a wide selection of useful pieces for the storage, preparation, cooking and serving of food and drink, ranging from giant store jars to everyday dishes, jugs and mugs.
