About MeOvoid vase which tapers to the foot and narrows at the rim from Ashraf Hanna's 'Naked Raku' series of vessels.
It is decorated with a resist pattern of 8 panels which contrast sharp, precise, lines with the softer curving shape of the piece. Each panel has a linear flower bud motif in black against an off-white ground which has been burnished to create a smooth finish. There are bands of burnished black to the the foot and rim.
