Two fragments of belt. Larger fragment (a) consists of a strip of single thickness, with cut edges. Parallel to both long edges are grain-flesh holes, in pairs, c 5mm between holes in a pair, pairs are c 10mm apart. Belt tapers; narrower end incomplete, but obviously a blunt end, not pointed. Wider end has had one or more thongs passed through grain-flesh holes - backwards and forwards, and over one edge-flesh side, where a separate piece is attached. L = c 470mm; W = 39-57mm. Delaminated. Very worn. Second, much smaller fragment (b) is triangular, with two cut edges forming a right angle. Third edge torn. Holes and thongs are on larger fragment. No apparent join. L = 82mm; surviving W = 27mm; T = c 3mm. Goatskin.
