About MeThis porcelain vessel was originally thrown on a potter's wheel and manipulated by Carina Ciscato to form the triangular shape before the clay was fired in a kiln. Ciscato has cut into the clay to create sharp edges and incised vertical lines for emphasis. It is fully glazed in a pale grey celadon, a type of opaque glaze which originated in China.

Ciscato is a Brazilian potter from Sao Paulo now based in south London. Her thrown vessels are frequently altered and re-assembled, creating distorted, yet fluid, pieces.
