About MeThis small bank was based in Cupar, Fife. Founded in 1802 it survived only until 1825 when it failed as a result of criminal mismanagement.

Only one denomination, the twenty-shilling (one-pound) note, was ever issued by the Fife Banking Company. It is a simple design, printed by Kirkwood and Son, showing at top centre a knight in armour on a galloping horse.

A local bank based in central Fife would have been mainly concerned with supporting the area's agriculture but the fact that it set up a branch (the only one) in Kirriemuir, Angus suggests that it supported also that town's busy textile industry.
