About MeCarte de visite of Elspet Wilson (Herd) mother of G.W. Wilson, she is seated on a wooden chair next to a table with a patterned table cloth. She is wearing a black dress and matching shawl with white cuffs. She also has a bonnet which ties underneath her chin in a bow, both of her hands are in her lap. On the reverse side is Wilson's print details as well as a hand-written note in pencil: 'Great- grandmother, Elspet Herd Wilson.' She died in 1883.
