About MeCarte de visite portrait of Mary Jean Wilson who was one of George Washington Wilson's daughters. She is wearing a pale dress with large horizontal black stripes down the front of the bodice and skirt, along with a row of buttons down her front and on her collars.

Her hair is pinned in a twisted plait at the back of her head with a flower pin on the right side of her hair. She is wearing drop earings and a decorated chocker can be seen under her white frilled neck collar. On the fourth button down of her gown a hook and silver chain can be seen.

She is leaning on a tassled desk on her right arm with a book in her right hand and her left hand on top of that resting on her lap and she is sitting on a chair which is just visible over her left shoulder. There is an inscribedon on the back written in blue ink which reads "jeannie" as well as the coat of arms and name of g.w.wilson & co.
