About MeAugustus Frederick (1773-1843) was the sixth son and ninth child of George III and Queen Charlotte. Andrew Robertson first met the Duke of Sussex when he was under his command in the Scottish Corps of the Loyal North Britons. This connection led to Robertson to painting the Duke in his uniform of Lieutenant Colonel of the Regiment.
