About MeThe figure on the left is Dorothy Johnstone who was a lifelong friend of the artist. In 1923 Johnstone and Walton travelled together to Vienna where Johnstone was to attend a summer school for teachers. On route they were asked to take care of two war refugees who were to be reunited in Vienna with their Hungarian father. The two other heads in the picture may be the two girls who were in their care. The following year the two artists shared a joint exhibition in Edinburgh where they were hailed as 'two brilliant daughters of Scotland' in 'Studio' Magazine.
