About MeThis partially reconstructed jug found at Queen Street in 1973 is an example of imported Yorkshire ware. It has been found on medieval sites across Aberdeen and dates from the late 1200s to the early 1300s. The rich green glaze has a metallic lustre to it. On the side of the spout there is a bearded face with a pig snout. The jug was likely a prized possession but was found in many pieces, around half of the vessel was never recovered.
