About MeInverurie born and largely self-taught, Cassie excelled in marine landscapes. This work depicts a steam side-paddle tug towing a two masted brig into Aberdeen Harbour below the Round House on the left and the recently completed breakwater on the right.
Near the Round House signal tower can be seen the brick harbour engineer’s office and fishnets drying whilst on the horizon a myriad of sailing herring drifters and a solitary steam engine coaster can be glimpsed.
