About MeThis dress, together with a matching veil and headdress, was worn by the donor on her wedding day in June 1962, at the West Church of St Andrew (latterly the Langstane Kirk, now Soul) on Union Street in Aberdeen.

The bride's sister was her bridesmaid, and the bride returned the favour four years later, in 1966, when she was matron-of-honour at her sister's wedding. The matron-of-honour dress is also held in the collection.

This full-length satin and lace wedding dress features a high, wide neckline and long sleeves with pointed cuffs, each decorated with seven small, fabric-covered round buttons. The bodice is fitted, with contoured bust seams. The waist seam is plain, drops at the back, and attaches to a full, flared skirt with a flat front panel and folded pleats around the waistband. The skirt lengthens into a small train at the back and is decorated with four vertical panels of synthetic lace. The dress features a stiffened cotton underskirt covered by a layer of tulle.
