About MeThis veil and headdress, together with a matching dress, was worn by the bride on her wedding day in June 1962, at the West Church of St Andrew (latterly the Langstane Kirk, now Soul) on Union Street in Aberdeen. The bride's sister was her bridesmaid, and the bride returned the favour four years later, in 1966, when she was matron-of-honour at her sister's wedding. The matron-of-honour dress is also held in the collection.
This white two-tiered tulle veil has an attached headdress. The wire base is covered with satin flowers and faux seed pearls. The tulle veil is embroidered with floral motifs.
