About MeThe sitter, was born in 1864 and died in 1947. She was a daughter of J.F. White and wrote his biography. She married W.R. Macdonell and they lived in 'Bridgefield', Bridge of Don. They were patrons of several artists at the turn of the century, including James McBey, to whom she was introduced by Lindsay Smith. Her son was A.G. Macdonell, author of "England, Their England" (1933).
