About MeThis is an "Order of Osmanieh Grand Officer" neck badge, Second Class. This is the companion of the "Order of Osmanieh Grand Officer" breast badge. Shaped as a seven-pointed star, it is made of silver and gold, filled with green enamel and ending with a ball on each point. Between each of the star rays are 3 silver radiations, decorated with marcasite. The neck badge has a circular centre filled with green enamel that encloses a smaller centre filled with red enamel. Within the red enamel ground is an Ottoman Turkish inscription reading [Abdülaziz Khan Turkish Emperor Having Faith in The Lord], semi-circled by a raised crescent. On the reverse is engraved an image of drums and crossed banners, items chosen by Islamic monarchs to signal associations with royalty. In between the banners is engraved the year 799 AH, which corresponds to 1396-1397 AD. Attached is a silver-gilt star and crescent suspension hook.
