About MeAlexander Cooper was a fruiterer. This fountain which commemorates him has four pink granite semi-circular bowls, surmounted on four grey granite bases resembling very squat columns. Four lion's heads surround a grey granite column on which the inscription is placed. Above this a pink granite vase sits below a grey column with acanthus leaves and another smaller pink granite vase above. Two bronze flower shaped rings are placed between the lion's pads and one scroll shaped ring. A grey column supports a copper chinoiserie style dome.
