About Me85te Safety Bow ShackleThis type of shackle is most commonly used to connect large diameter mooring wires together when making up mooring legs for towing and mooring of Jack-Up and Drilling Rigs. They range from as low a working load limit of 1te SWL to as much as 1500te SWL in extreme cases. The two shackle size is 85te SWL. The minimum breaking load on each shackle is noted as 5 x its SWL and individually it weighs in at 62kgs for the 85te shackle.
